Merenda Ltd has been named Business All-Star Leitrim Enterprise of The Year 2024 by the All-Ireland Business Foundation. Established in 1984, Merenda provides top-notch wood veneer and laminated products as well as edge banding services to our clients across a range of sectors both nationally and internationally.

It's our unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, sustainability, and customer satisfaction that the AIBF research confirms as what sets Merenda apart in the competitive manufacturing market. The title Business All-Star Leitrim Enterprise of The Year 2024 comes in recognition of our outstanding innovation, customer service, and contribution to the Irish economy. This accolade also recognises our contributions to the wood veneer and laminated products sector which they say, showcases our commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to customers across various industries.

Announcing the news of Merenda’s achievement, Deputy Chair of AIBF’s Adjudication Board, Kieran Ring, said: “I am delighted to recognise Merenda Limited for its outstanding performance in the business. This marks a notable second consecutive year of such esteemed recognition, honouring Merenda’s continued excellence and leadership in the woodworking and decorative solutions industry. From its foundation, Merenda has carved out a niche in the creation of high-quality wood veneer products, serving both national and international markets. Ronan Haslette’s strategic foresight and commitment to sustainability have propelled Merenda beyond conventional boundaries, establishing it as a benchmark for innovation and quality in the industry. Ronan’s dedication to the advancement of sustainable practices is evident in Merenda’s operational protocols, including the significant reduction of waste and the implementation of Energy-efficient Processes.”

Reacting to the news of his company’s achievement, MD, Ronan Haslette said: “We are deeply honoured to be named Business All-Star Leitrim Enterprise of The Year 2024 by the All-Ireland Business Foundation. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who strive every day to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions. We are committed to continuing our journey of growth and sustainability, supporting our local community, and contributing positively to the Irish economy”

Managing Director of the All-Ireland Business Foundation, Kapil Khanna, said: "The accreditation, which is now held by over 700 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards but have nothing to measure them by. He said: “We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics.”

We, Team Merenda, are so proud to accept this award. We're a hard working team and the level of expertise on the shop floor is perhaps unrivalled anywhere in Europe. The aforementioned sustainability, customer service and constant drive to deliver innovation and growth are key to keeping us focused and motivated, but it is the people that is the oxygen of Merenda!

Well done to each and every member of our team.
