Merenda is a successful manufacturing company with over 40 years of market expertise and are now seeking to hire an experienced Business Development and PM Lead to join the business and be part of the team that will bring their strategic vision to reality. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will have responsibility for contributing to the commercial growth of the company, and the development of key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Summary:
The Business Development & Project Management Lead is responsible for driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives while overseeing project execution to ensure client satisfaction. This role combines business development, sales administration, and project management to develop new opportunities, manage key accounts, and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Contribute to and drive business development strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize client value.
- Manage key accounts to ensure long-term business relationships and customer satisfaction
- Maintain sales pipeline using CRM and planning boards.
- Participate in sales team meetings and regularly update the MD on sales updates.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing team to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
Project Management
- Oversee the management of client projects, ensuring on time delivery and within scope.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and resolving issues proactively.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including operations, procurement, and finance, to align project execution with business goals.
- Develop and implement project plans, and schedules.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or project management roles.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully managing projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience using CRM and project management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
